So you think you can think on your feet? Presenting to you the all-round entertainer, The Longest Minute, an extempore speech event lasting a whole(or mere?) 60 seconds! Here’s your chance to express your ideas without "hesitation, repetition, and/or deviation" fluently to the JAM master and the panel. You’ll have to fight tooth and nail because it’s a war – you only get one chance at it! So think before you speak, but don't speak too late!

Rules

1. Participants are divided into groups of 5 members each.
2. They will be given a topic and have to speak on it for one minute in English without any hesitation, repetition or deviation.
3. Other panellists can challenge the speaker if he commits any of the mistakes :-

(a)Stammers or indulges in time wasting tactics ( use of words like “uhh” ,”ahh” etc).
(b)Either starts early or late.
(c)Speaks too fast or too slow.
(d)Makes a grammatical error.
(e)Gives undue stress to a word or phrase.
(f)Makes repetition of previously used word or idea.
(g)Violates the random rules set by the JAM Master.

4. A panellist will score a point if the challenge is proved correct and he/she will start speaking for the remainder of the minute or until he/she is successfully challenged.
5. In case the challenge is deemed incorrect the speaker will get a point and he/she will continue speaking.
6. The person speaking at the moment the whistle blows (after 60 seconds) also scores a point.
7. An extra point will awarded if a panelist speaks for the entire minute.
8. The participant with the highest score from each group will move to the next round.
9. Random variations can be introduced on the spot before each round by the JAM master.
10.The JAM Master's decision will be final and binding.

यह एक व्यक्तिगत प्रतियोगिता है । एक कॉलेज से किसी भी संख्या में प्रतिभागी भाग ले सकते हैं| प्रतियोगिता के ३ चरण होंगे|

चरण १:

1. प्रतिभागी को एक चित्र दिखाया जाएगा जिसके विषय में सोचने तथा विचार एकत्रित करने के लिए 1 मिनट का समय दिया जाएगा ।

4. पैनल में चर्चा सामान्यतः १० मिनट चलेगी, परन्तु पत्रकार मंडली के आदेशानुसार इस अवधि को बढ़ाया या घटाया जा सकता है।

1. यह इस प्रतियोगिता का अंतिम चरण होगा।

Rules

1. Participants need to submit a written entry(prose, poetry, drama, or any combination of any other style of writing) based on the prompts provided.
2. The entries can be in either English or Hindi.
3. Judging will be done separately for both languages.
4. There is no upper limit of participants from a particular college. The judging however shall be done individually.
5. The submission must be done within an hour of starting time and must not be more than 2000 words long.

Rounds: Two (Online Submission and Final Screening)

Online Submission:
1. Participants have to make a film on one of the given themes
2. Time Limit: 3-10 minutes (Including credits and everything)

Final Screening:
1. 15 films will be selected for the final round and will be screened at Delhi Technological University campus on 18th January 2019.
2. Screening will be followed by a discussion by eminent panellists of the industry and award ceremony.
3. At least one member from each selected team should be present at the day of the screening.
Judging Criteria:
Editing, cinematography, script(originality), acting, sound effects, overall impact, relevance to theme(final round).
General Rules:
· The team size should be a maximum of 8 in the core team (No limit on the number of actors in the film).
· It is compulsory to mention the theme while submitting the film.
· The movie can be in Hindi or English or both. If you choose to make a film in some other language, it must contain English subtitles.
· Please note that Yuvaan will not be responsible for postal delays, losses or damages. Make sure you send in the entries sufficiently before the deadline.
· You may use any camera for shooting the video but the resolution should be at least 480p . Use of webcams and mobile cameras are not discouraged but not preferred.
· Entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe third-party's rights. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
· The content of the movie should be appropriate for public screening and thus have no vulgarity. Obscenity (at the discretion of the judges) of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
· Please avoid photo animation, slideshows, remixes, spoofs and advertisements.
· Please note that the teams for the elimination rounds and the finals must be the same. No new addition of members will be entertained.
· Sound tracks (no max time limit) and stock footage (time limit : max of 2 min 30 seconds) can be borrowed, but with due credits.
· During the screening, the spokesperson or any person related to the movie must be present.
· Teams qualifying for the finals will be asked to submit the scanned copy of their college ID cards along with their photos.
· The soft copies of the movie wall posters are to be sent along with the film.
· We will contact the selected participants for the screening and panel discussion by 13 January 2019, 11.59 PM to announce the competing movies.
· The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Rules

1. Participants need to submit a comic strip on any topic.
2. The entries must be original piece of work. Plagiarism of any sort is highly discouraged and can lead to immediate disqualification.
3. The only language allowed is English.
4. Entries can be hand-drawn or drawn with the aid of relevant design and graphic softwares (eg- adobe photoshop, freehand Illustrator etc).
5. The size of artwork must not exceed A4.
6. The entries can contain a maximum of 6 panels, each panel featuring a different scene.
7. The comic strip may be monochromatic (black and white) or coloured. Participant may choose to use any art medium such as pencils, crayons, water-colours, oil-colours etc.
8. Content should not be defaming or abusive towards any community, person, place, etc. However, individual opinions can be stated with decency and decorum.
